Tvisha’s and Aarya’s deck of fractions!

A fun filled learning engagement in Grade V A. Find math boring? Why not try this activity we did in class?
We were grouped in pairs and were given a deck of cards for each table. Each pair had to take four cards which mean everyone at the table takes two cards. Now anyway you must be wondering what the activity is, let me tell you........ From the 4 cards we selected, we had to create our own sum with all the four operations with fractions. Add, Subtract, Multiply and Divide. In the pack of cards were - A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K. Since A, J, Q, K are not numbers, A is 1, 11 for J, 12 for Q and 13 for K.
