Celebrating our Mother Tongue!

At Oakridge, we believe that development of mother-tongue language is crucial for cognitive development and in maintaining cultural identity.  In connection to it, we organized a Mother Tongue Session on 30th of July, 2014, where Grade IA kids enthusiastically participated and recited poems, slokas, stories, jokes in their mother tongue. They even dressed up in the traditional attire to represent their culture.
Hrithik of Grade IA began the session by introducing himself and announced the start of the program and also explained the importance of the Mother Tongue.  Mother Tongue makes us aware of the use of language in daily life.  We feel comfortable sharing our expressions or emotions in our Mother Tongue.
