Chairman’s Cup - Debating Solutions for a Better Tomorrow

We at Oakridge have an exciting monthly event called “Chairman’s  Cup “across all the grade levels starting from 4th grade. For this academic year, on 23rd July, the junior wing had their first Chairman’s Cup presentation comprising of participants from 4th and 5th grades. They had teams of 3 students from each section presenting their views on giving topic for 4 to 5 minutes.
Topic for 4th grade students:  Do you think junk food must be banned in schools?
Topic for 5th grade students: Are sports and games as important as studies?
It was a great presentation by all the teams. The enthusiasm shown by the students was overwhelming added to the discipline maintained by the other students all throughout.  It was obvious that right opportunity along with the right guidance given to the kids helps them to go beyond in various aspects like thinking, research and presentation skills. Have a look at some lovely pics of their presentation…
