Grade VA Visits the High Court — An Inquiry into Conflict Resolution

The much-awaited visit to the High Court was a great experience for all the students of Grade VA guided by Ms. Ramya, Homeroom Teacher, and Ms. Saumya, Deputy Coordinator of OIS, Einstein Campus. The visiting team got a chance to watch the proceedings in the court and had an interaction with the Chief Public Prosecutor of the state and his assistant Mr. Rajeev and some of the lawyers. The team learnt the terms used in the court, the cases that reach the high court, and the way they are resolved.

Students’ Reflections
  1. I learnt a new word and its meaning...'juvenile'!
  2. I had an awesome experience while sitting inside the court.
  3. I was surprised to know that committing suicide is also a crime!
  4. It felt great watching a judge, defense lawyer, and prosecutor in action in the court!
