'Stand Up! Speak Out!'

Amazing things can happen and life can get better again if we start thinking of a caterpillar then a butterfly

The week of Anti-bullying was celebrated by Grade V C students in the assembly as a theme of awareness towards bullying. Abhiram. T, the anchor, led the whole team. Prayer was delivered by Aneesh. V. Thought of the day was by Sathvik, followed by A Poem written by Sri Surya.

Sahishnu shared few ways of fighting against bullying and highlighted that kindness can be a weapon too in not only throwing the bully off of their guard but also in building up own inner strength and self-confidence — the beauty of genuine friendship and trust.

Highlighted part of the whole assembly was led by Arya’s announcement — distribution of the handmade bookmarks with simple quotes on anti-bullying made by the girls to all the grades from 2–12 with an intention to use them in their classrooms and be a part of our campaign against bullying.

Grade V C ended the assembly with a lighter note as it was December 31, the last day of 2013, with some funny resolutions:

·        I will avoid taking a bath whenever possible and conserve more water.

·        I promise to clean my room once a week even though I haven't cleaned it more than once in the last year.
