Students from Oakridge International School, Bachupally campus recently went on an excursion trip to South India. They have visited Banglore, Mysore,Coorg and Nagarhole. On this trip students visited places ranging from natural beauty, wild life sanctuary, fantasy park, historical palace, science museums etc. A group of around 30 enthusiastic students along with senior teachers went on this 5 day excursion trip from Hyderabad.
Reflection from students:
Day 1, we stayed at Nagarhole and after dinner, we enjoyed the bonfire with rhythmic dancing. Day 2, early morning we visited the Wildlife sanctuary, spotted peacocks, deer’s, elephants, rabbits, wild bores and other wild animals. It was very exciting to see abundant wildlife and greenery. On the same day, we visited Irrupu waterfalls and then started our journey to Coorg. Day 3, we visited Dubara Elephant camp, we got to ride the elephants and it was real fun. In the evening we visited Omkareshwar Temple and did some Spices & Chocolates shopping. Day 4, we toured the mighty Mysore palace. There we saw the Throne of Mysore King, paintings, artifacts, living quarters of the King & Queen etc. In the evening we went to the most awaiting and exciting part of the trip - GRS Fantasy Park. Here we had loads of fun with our friends in water. We enjoyed different slides, lazy ride and musical dance in the pool. The last day of our trip Day5, we toured the HAL Aerospace Museum. We saw various types of aircrafts, subsonic jet flights, helicopters, flight simulators and an exhibition on Indian aviation history.

We liked and thoroughly enjoyed our trip. For some of us this was the first time staying away from family. We made friends with students from other classes and bonded well with everyone in the group.
