Green Rangers: We all Should Protect our Planet Earth and Save the Ozone Layer

Save Energy! That is what Mr. Brahmam, from Schneider India, told the Green Ambassadors all about. It was a fun experience about how we can save energy and water. We got to know all about what we can do for our Earth. As everything in this world, at the present, depends on electricity or power, we have to save all these natural resources from getting depleted.

Mr. Brahmam showed us all about tips to be a real Green Ambassador. He showed us videos based on saving electricity. For example, a village in Maharashtra was living in a life of darkness without electricity and showed us how Schneider helped these people. We even saw an interview of Sachin Tendulkar on the same. After the session ended, we received the Tips Card which had all the ways to save energy and conserve the planet. It was a cool experience from which we learned a lot. I am sure from now on we shall be the Green ambassadors!

III A gets to know Mr.Sashank's Software Company

An exciting session was organized by Sharvari’s father Mr. SASHANK PURIGHALLA, for the children of Grade 3A.

As our children wanted to inquire on how Mr.Sashank's company (Software Company) was being advertised to the target audience, he first explained about his company and his work. We got to know the different media they were using to advertise. Children were completely engaged in the session and the most interesting part was when they gave him some suggestions on where to put his company's ads. One of the suggestions was that, if it was a billboard, it was to be put up mostly near signals so that people would be able to read and get to know about what the company is all about.

The session was quiet interactive and insightful.

Oakridge Branding Head’s Visit to Grade IIIA

Guest lecture was organised for grade 3A students by Mr. Pavan Kumar, Head- Branding, Oakridge International School. He was invited to give guest lecture to help our children in their summative assessment on advertisements.
It was a wonderful session wherein, all of the kids were involved in the activities. Especially, Chinese whisper game and creating their own advertisements along with the tag lines to attract the audience were really fantastic.
It was a very interactive session and kids had a first-hand experience on importance of branding and advertisements.
Guest Speaker's Reflection:
“First of all, thanks for giving me an opportunity to share some moments with the students of Grade III today.
Let me say this - talking to this age group on topics of advertising, marketing and branding is kind of difficult at the outset. But thanks to the amazing initiative and openness to learn new aspects, which is really inspiring to see at this young lot - the activity based learning happened with full of fun and zest.
Inspired to see many kids coming up with great ideas, especially on the advertisement activity - where kids came up with some great tag lines.
And finally, the performances by the students are simply amazing!
Looking forward to associate in such student interactions.”

PYPC pats PAT

As a part of PAT initiative, Sai Shriyans of Grade IA was given a task of writing a blog report on one of the projects he did recently. Sai completed the project task by following the guidelines and observation table to the‘t’ and reported it in a wonderful way. Kudos to Sai, for taking up the challenge and fulfilling it excellently!

MY FIRST PROJECT AND FIRST BLOG REPORT
I got the project ‘Caring of Plants’ in my October vacation. In this project, I had to grow a plant in my house.
To complete this project, I bought a pot, mustard seeds and soil. First, I filled the pot with soil and then I put the seeds in the soil. Then I watered the pot.
I observed the pot till seven days to watch if there was any change in the seeds.
On the first and the second day, no growth was seen. On the third day, one plant came out from the seed. I felt very happy when I saw my first plant growing. In seven days, most of the seeds started growing; and on the last day, the whole pot was covered with green little plants. Each plant was having four little green leaves.
I never did such a project before. I prepared PPT with my father’s help and presented it to my class. I felt very happy.
