World Peace Day Celebrations

World peace day celebrations were first started in 1982 and dedicated to Peace and Non-violence. We celebrated World Peace Day on 21st of September, 2012 with lots of fun filled colourful activities and enthusiasm.

No celebration is complete with best wishes from friends. Students of grade IV made colourful greeting cards wishing students of the partner school with meaningful messages for World Peace Day. Grade V students with White T-shirts representing peace, performed a dance piece on the song “Peaceful World” and also sang Michael Jackson’s song “Heal the World”. Students from grade I to V also shared their views on Peace in their classrooms, school, at home and community. Peace should first start from within one’s own self. Our student counsellor Ms. Mythili and Co-ordinator Ms. Vani gave their valuable suggestions to our students on encouraging peace and non-violence.
