Field Trip to Birla Planetarium

Grade II students were taken to Birla Planetarium to find out more about the universe. As they wanted to know how universe looks like and what each planet does in the universe. The best place was Planetarium to help them understand what goes on up in the sky.

The students were excited as soon as they entered the room. When the room was made dark they thought that they were going out of earth and travelling into the universe. They watched the Big Bang theory, how planets formed and other elements of the universe. They were observing carefully each and every moment of the small documentary shown to them.

They came to know that Pluto is no longer a planet. And we can’t go near the sun. Asteriods revolve between the planets. Meteors are called shooting stars. Jupiter is the biggest planet.

Overall the trip was very informative to the children. They were happy that they visited the universe.
