Guest lecture on ‘Healthy Eating’

A nutrimic guest lecture was delivered on ‘Healthy Eating’ by Dr. Lavanya K, a renowned doctor and a diabetologist. She was invited as a part of the ISA activity and the session was very much helpful for the students as she answered all the queries they asked. She spoke about different ways to prevent disease and enhance human health and longevity. She explained in detail about the types of fats, minerals and vitamins and said that proper nutrition promotes the optimal growth and development of children. She explained about the eating behaviours of young people. She shared a PowerPoint presentation with the students which expalined the Food Pyramid. She also asked questions to students thus making the interaction very lively.

Kids should eat a variety of nutritious foods such as vegetables, low-fat yogurt, and low-fat cheese, which are healthier and better for the kids teeth.. Thank you so much for sharing with us...
