“Nand ghar anand bhayo, jai Kanhaiya Lal ki…
Hathi, ghoda, palkhi, jai Kanhaiya Lal ki…"

Students attired themselves like Radha and Krishna, with a beautiful smile on their faces entered the school premises, spreading the message of ancient Puranas and our traditions. This brought awareness amongst the students about traditional customs while enjoying the pranks of Lord Krishna.

Students from Nursery to Grade 5 celebrated Janmashtami with gaiety. The programme commenced with the welcome address by Hindi teacher, Mrs. Rama Sharma who also explained the importance of celebrating Janmashtmi to little children. Students donned the roles of Lord Sri Krishna, Kansa and gopikas amongst many other characters related to Gokulashtami.

They won the hearts by enacting various roles of Sri Krishna from childhood as Nathkhat Bansi, Makhan Chor and performing a skit written by Mrs. Kajal Sharma, Hindi teacher. Children also made colorful foot prints depicting Lord’s footsteps, butter pots, colorful crowns and rangoli designs. Event Incharges Ms. Leeza & Ms. Aparna delivered the vote of thanks.

Fun and frolic marked the presentation. Tiny tots captivated the audience which comprised of Ms. Shalini Samuel, Ms. Rama and the Headmistress of Newton Campus, Ms. Hema Sanjay.
